Mr.
Serlin's practice covers the full range of services in the areas of tax law,
probate law and estate planning. He is
experienced in handling standard and non-standard estate planning situations, including
the utilization of revocable and irrevocable trusts, and the probating of
decedents' estates. A significant
portion of Mr. Serlin's tax and estate planning practice involves advising and
representing clients in matters regarding federal gift and estate taxes and
income taxes applicable to estates and trusts and their beneficiaries.
Mr. Serlin is
a long-standing member of the Board of Directors of Kadima, an organization
providing residential and support services for adults with mental illness, and
a member of Kadima's Finance Committee.
He is also a member of the Grants and Distributions Committee of the
Jewish Foundation.
Upon graduation from The University of Michigan Law School in 1971, Mr. Serlin joined the law firm of Dahlberg, Mallender & Gawne, which later become Vestevich, Mallender, DuBois & Dritas, P.C. until 2005, at which time he joined The Serlin Group, PLLC.
