Jerry D. Luptak was born June 22, 1922. Mr. Luptak obtained his B.A. from Michigan State University in 1944, with a major in Economics. In 1949, Mr. Luptak graduated from the University of Michigan Law School. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Luptak served in the United States Army, 36th Infantry Division and was honorably discharged as Captain after having received a Silver Star. Mr. Luptak is currently a member of the Detroit and American Bar Associations, as well as a member of the State Bar of Michigan. Mr. Luptak has extensive experience in business law with an expertise in real estate finance, securities and taxation. Mr. Luptak served on the Taxation Committee of the Detroit Bar Association and was formerly its Chairman from the years 1962-1965. Mr. Luptak has also been a liaison representative with the Detroit Bar Association in the Central Region of the Internal Revenue Service from 1964-1965. Mr. Luptak served as the Secretary-Treasurer of the State Bar of Michigan from 1965-1966 while also serving as a member of the Taxation Section and acted as the Vice-Chairman from 1966-1967 and the Chairman from 1967-1968. |
